If we already have an option where we can select how many we want for other items there isn't really a reason why it shouldn't be added for rare mats.

The entire trade system in this game is so clunky and cumbersome. If anything needs to be done it, it is a total overhaul not just time wasting band-aids.

Better yet why can't we have buy X amount for both rare and normal materials button. Would be much easier than having to buy the same item like 12 times to get the right amount.

because the trader price is set by people buying and selling you cant buy in multiple volumes, what if the price were to change after the 5th item you bought, you would buy 5 at one price, 5 at another, not sure how you could get around that

I feel your pain.
I'm all for not having to buy one rare crafting material at a time.

Blindingly obvious upgrade
Its been needed and requested for years and it hasn't happened yet.
My guess is either its too time consuming to program in or the company just doesn't want it included.
Yes the price is determined by market forces but that's not a problem just think of how a real transaction would occur.
Traders would be more than happy to sell in bulk and might even offer a discount for quantity, then adjust the price later on according to the rules of supply and demand.
Simple answer is if buying or selling 1 rare material has x effect on price then the effect of 10 such items is 10x or whatever formula they want to use.
Such price effect to take place after the transaction is finished.

this was suggested before and I remember it not getting that great of a reception.
I however think it would be useful. Many times I have to buy mats from trader only yo have to request quote buy request quote buy. gets annoying.
As far as the prices changing when people buy items so what...Let people buy x amount at the quoted price. It can then go up after. Not a big deal.

Maybe I can finally buy/sell more than just one rare material at a time. Would also be great if it could be toggled or changed so you can buy up to 10 at a time. (Then maybe if they make it happen they'll consider it for dye traders as well.)
